Good afternoon!
Finally! Some decent weather in our corner of the world. We thank God for sending the rains and cooler weather and as the second reading this Sunday says: "by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God" so let us keep praying for rain!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
SOCIETY OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE
The ladies will be holding a bake sale next weekend in the church foyer. Please come by and support their efforts. All proceeds are for the December 12th celebration in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Beginning the weekends in October (Respect Life Month), the Guadalupanas are sponsoring a clothing and household items drive for the Guadalupe Home. Guadalupe Home is transitional shelter for adult women who are pregnant or parenting and are in need of shelter and basic necessities. See flyer below.
EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF THE EUCHARIST
Did you know that the guidelines for the celebration of the Eucharist state that there should be a sufficient number of ministers of Holy Communion so that it may be distributed in a reverent and orderly manner? Bishops, priests and deacons distribute Holy Communion in virtue of their office as ordinary ministers of the Body and Blood of the Lord. When the size of the congregation or the incapacity of the bishop, priest, or deacon requires it, the celebrant may be assisted by other bishops, priests, or deacons. If such ordinary ministers of Holy Communion are not present, the priest may call upon extraordinary ministers to assist him...
Current Extraordinary Ministers as well as anyone wishing to serve in this ministry must attend one of two trainings to be held
after the 11AM Mass in the Church:
October 29, 2023
November 12, 2023
If you have any questions, please contact Robert Neugebauer at (830) 243-2808
